Product Review: License to Chill

The holidays can be stressful

Happy Holidays! If you’re like me, the lead into Christmas can have you feeling joyous for the season. It can also leave you incredibly stressed out trying to get everything ready for the big day. For the most part, my face is what takes the brunt of my stressful moments around the holidays. While I usually deal with the breakouts by not dealing (lol), I’ve recently discovered a secret weapon. A cheeky brand called Anese has come to my rescue with everything I never thought I needed including game changing face masks.

Cheeky branding works

To be totally honest, what first caught my attention to the brand Anese were the ridiculous and funny names for each of their products. Names like, Calm your tits, That booty tho and Smells like Queen spirit completely reeled me in (cheeky branding works, I promise you). Personally, I try not to take myself too seriously and this brand totally understood the assignment.

License to chill for the win

While witty names can be fun, the more I looked into the list of products by Anese, the more I was impressed by the functionality and versatility of them all. In search of self-care vibes, I landed on the face mask appropriately named License to chill (who doesn’t love a loose Beastie Boys reference). License to chill was created for those random stressful moments that wreak havoc on your skin. This mask will help your face recover from breakouts and leave your skin feeling nice and smooth.

No harsh chemicals

If you’ve read the majority of my reviews, you know that I always champion companies that have cruelty free and environmentally safe contents and Anese is no different. This mask is vegan, paraben free, dermatologist tested and it also smells really good! The price for a 2 fl oz. jar is $34.00. For what you’re getting in effectiveness, that’s a pretty good deal.

Easy to use

Using License to chill is straightforward. You are suggested to apply this mask generously to a clean/dry face about 3 times a week. It only takes 10-15 minutes for the mask to work through your skin and a quick rinse with warm water to wash it off. I would suggest using a warm damp towel to remove the mask. This ensures that you clean the product off of your face completely and that you are not making a mess by splashing water all over your sink.

Did someone say spot treatment?

This mask can also be used as a spot treatment. By applying a small amount to the affected areas, simply leave the product on overnight and then wash it off in the morning. Repeat this process until your blemish or affected pore is gone.

Bye bye breakouts

Your skin will feel velvety smooth and soft once you have used this mask. This is in large part due to the relaxing eucalyptus oil infused within the product. The more you use License to chill, the more you will see your skin start to improve. I used this mask 3 times a week for a month and noticed a major difference in my skin’s texture. Because of my frequent use of the product, my breakouts were less frequent. When I did have a pimple push through, a quick spot treatment was all I needed to make that sucker disappear.
